THATCHER, Ariz. — Eastern Arizona College will host its annual Veterans Day commemoration on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. to honor those who have served or are currently serving in the military.
Sponsored by the Associated Students of Eastern Arizona College, this event is being held the day before Veterans Day to not compete with other area events and to encourage more student and employee participation.
The commemoration will take place at Eastern Arizona College, 615 N. Stadium Ave., Thatcher, Arizona, on the west side of EAC’s Student Services Building near the flagpole. Parking is available near the event.
Featured remarks will be given by Dr. Aaron Westerfield, EAC’s director of accreditation and effectiveness. Dr. Westerfield is also serving as the executive officer for the 996th Medical Company Area Support for the Arizona National Guard. EAC’s Marching Band and choirs will perform patriotic music throughout the event.
