THATCHER, Ariz.  — Eastern Arizona College’s Fine Arts Division is wrapping up the spring semester with a dynamic lineup of performances showcasing student talent, faculty artistry, and community collaboration. From vocal jazz and symphony to a student-written theatrical production, the final weeks of the season offer something for every audience.

The lineup begins with the Eastern Arizona College Vocal Jazz concert on Tuesday, April 28, at 7 p.m., in the EAC Amphitheater. The performance is free and open to the public and features student vocalists performing a variety of jazz standards and contemporary arrangements.

On Wednesday, April 29, the EAC Wind Ensemble will perform its spring concert at 7 p.m., in the Fine Arts Auditorium under the direction of EA band director, Dr. Geoff DeSpain. The program includes selections such as Prelude, Siciliano, and Rondo, Afrospire, The Inferno, and America, the Beautiful, highlighting a wide range of styles and musical expression.

That same evening marks the opening of Webs of Life, a student-written, directed, and designed theatrical production in the SC-3 Black Box Theater. The show runs April 29 through May 2 at 7 p.m., nightly.

Webs of Life weaves together five distinct stories centered on real-life conflict, exploring themes of fear, resilience, loss, and personal growth. From missed opportunities shaped by fear of rejection to a woman imagining a life beyond an abusive marriage, the production examines how individuals navigate hardship and ultimately find strength and connection. The show is rated PG-13 for domestic violence and mature situations.

The EAC Symphony Orchestra will take the stage Saturday, May 2, at 7 p.m., in the Fine Arts Auditorium with its concert titled Fire, Grace, and the Unfinished. The performance will feature works by Handel, Schubert, Mozart, and Grieg, with guest appearances by Dr. Gréta Pásztor Wung on piano and Dr. Michael Shoaf, countertenor.

Rounding out the season, the EAC Community Jazz Ensemble will perform Tuesday, May 5, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The concert brings together community musicians and students for an evening of jazz performance and collaboration.

All events are open to the public. Admission is free unless otherwise noted.

Students and community members interested in continuing their education are encouraged to register now for upcoming summer and fall courses at Eastern Arizona College. Summer classes begin May 26, and fall semester classes begin Aug. 17. Registration is open through the MyEAC portal or in person through the Admissions and Registration Office.
