THATCHER — The Monster Exchange is asking for the public’s help.
The Monster Exchange serves students at Eastern Arizona College who find themselves financially unable to purchase necessities, such as food and personal items.
During the fall semester, the Monster Exchange helped 346 students, who visited 1,439 times. So far this current semester, 163 different students have visited the pantry 502 times.
Currently, the shelves at the Monster Exchange are running a bit a bit bare and organizers are asking for the public’s help to replenish supplies. Needed are:
● Tuna/chicken packets or cans
● Canned soups and pastas
● Macaroni and cheese
● Granola bars
● Single packages of crackers/snacks
● Dried pasta
● Spaghetti sauce
● Perishable items, such as eggs, margarine, cheese sticks, fresh fruits and vegetables
● Toothpaste
● Deodorant
● Shampoo
● Liquid hand soap
Gently used clothing and school supplies are also accepted.
Donations are accepted at the Monster Exchange, 3683 W. Church St., Thatcher, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and at the EAC Student Life Office in the Hoopes Activities Center during normal business hours.
Monetary donations are also welcome. Checks can be made out to the EAC Foundation and mailed to Eastern Arizona College – Student Life Dept., Attn: Patti Wren, 615 N. Stadium Ave., Thatcher, AZ 85552.
