SAFFORD — A new Gila Valley sports league gets under way this week.
The Gila Valley Disc Golf League will start Thursday, April 21.
League play will take place every Thursday at 5:30 p.m., and Saturday at 7:45 a.m., through May 28, at the 9-hole disc golf course at Graham County Fairgrounds.
Play is open to those 18 and older, or young than 18 when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Cost is $10 for club membership and $10 for league play, although the first two times on the course is free for newcomers and visitors.
Handicap will be determined during league play, for a season-ending handicap tournament at the end of the season.
