Dawn Michell Hinton, age 63, passed away on September 17, 2023, in Tucson, Arizona, after a brave battle with cancer. Dawn, an Arizona native, was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.
Dawn is survived by: her children, Denim Bond (son-in-law Jason and granddaughter Taryn) and James Cissell (daughter-in-law Monica and grandchildren Olive and Clay); and brothers, Timothy (Nina) and Michael Hinton.
Dawn was preceded in death by: her parents, Douglas and Patricia Hinton; and brother, Joe Bill Hinton.
Dawn will be remembered for her kind spirit, generosity and artistic nature. She was a dog lover and a rockhound. She found beauty in the little things, and she loved making people feel special. Dawn was a beautiful person inside and out and made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.
A memorial service for Dawn will be conducted at Vining Funeral Home’s “Chapel of the Valley,” in Safford, Arizona, on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Dawn will be laid to rest at the Hinton Family Cemetery in Geronimo, Arizona.
