Daily Voice of the Valley podcast/broadcast coming November 4

Changes are coming to the morning programming on KATO.

Trades and Sales has been on KATO for decades. Traditionally, Trades and Sales has been a popular and effective way for people to advertise their personal items for sale or promote a yard sale. The advent of the Internet has brought new avenues for classified advertising. As a result, the weekday broadcast (Monday – Friday) of Trades and Sales will be leaving the air at the end of October. The Saturday broadcast will continue to air at 8:30 a.m. Saturday mornings. You will still be able to post your your items on the classifieds page on GilaValleyCentral. This page will also have links to popular social media sites where you can post your items.

Trades and Sales on weekdays to be replaced with Voice of the Valley

Years ago, Voice of the Valley was a daily interview program on KATO. The program brought in people from around the valley to discuss topics and issues about our communities. Over time, the program dwindled to once per week on Saturdays, and continues to be broadcast every Saturday morning at 7:30.

Beginning Monday, November 4, 2019, a daily broadcast of Voice of the Valley will return to the airwaves on KATO with host Dan Curtis. The program will also be available as a daily podcast on GilaValleyCentral.net. Listeners will be able to listen to the radio broadcast, but will also be able listen on GilaValleyCentral or subscribe to the podcast. The podcast posts on GilaValleyCentral will also have more information about the podcast topic and links (if applicable).

The weekday broadcast of Voice of the Valley on KATO will be aired at 8:30 a.m. The Saturday program will continue to air at 7:30 a.m.

If you have a topic or issue that should be presented on Voice of the Valley, please send an email to dan@gilavalleycentral.net
