COVID-19 count in Graham County climbs to 39

SAFFORD —Add three new cases of COVID-19 to Graham County’s total.

The Graham County Health Department announced Tuesday afternoon it is investigating the three newest cases, as the new cases do not appear to be part of the cluster that was identified starting Memorial Day.

One of the cases lives in unincorporated Graham County and two live on the San Carlos Apache reservation.

The new cases bring Graham County’s total to 39, including two deaths, since the start of the pandemic.

The San Carlos Apache Tribe’s number of positive cases has grown to 22 with these latest positive tests. Nine of the victims live on the reservation and 13 live off reservation.

Greenlee County remains at eight positive cases with one death.
