COVID-19 cases increase across the area

SAFFORD — Add yet another three new positive cases to Graham County’s COVID-19 count.

Graham County Health Department announced Wednesday night that the three newest cases are located on the San Carlos Apache reservation and being investigated by the tribe’s healthcare corporation.

The total for Graham County is 58 positive cases since the start of the pandemic with two deaths.

In addition to the three cases announced by Graham County, there were four additional cases on the San Carlos Apache reservation on Wednesday and seven new cases Thursday. That brings the tribe’s total to 66 positive cases — 47 on the reservation and 19 off — with two off-reservation deaths.

Greenlee County also reported one new case Thursday, bringing Greenlee’s total to 13 with one death.
