GRAHAM COUNTY — Those looking for some holiday cheer while staying safe during the pandemic now have a roadmap . . . literally.
The Light Up the Gila Valley 2020 Holiday Lights map is now posted to Gila Valley Central.
As of Monday, Dec. 14, there were about 60 homes listed on the map, stretching from Fort Thomas to Solomon, and south to Artesia.
The map is the brainchild of Jenna Ferrin and Vaughn Grant, of Country Financial, who sponsored the program following the postponement of the annual Safford Light Parade to 2021.
“We want everybody in the community to find extra lights, or find a box that’s been put away, and put some lights up and share the Christmas spirit,” Ferrin said during a recent appearance on Voice of the Valley.
To encourage participation, Country Financial is giving away $100 Visa gift cards to the 15 homeowners who show the most holiday spirit.
There is no cost to register and anyone in Graham County may participate. However, time to register is running out.
Go to Light Up the Gila Valley Registration | GilaValleyCentral.Net to list a home on the map for a chance at winning a gift card. Deadline to register is Dec. 15.
