SAFFORD — A community clean-up is planned for this week’s Community Pride Days.

The clean-up will take place in the Calle Mesa neighborhood, near the Sunrise Re-entry and Prevention Center. It will take place from 6-10 a.m.

Volunteers are asked to wear a hat, comfortable clothes and sunscreen; and bring a water bottle. Vests, gloves and trash bags will be provided.

The clean-up is sponsored by City of Safford, Graham County, SECAB, Gila Watershed Partnership and the Graham County Substance Abuse Coalition.

During Community Pride Days, June 5-7, all Graham County residents are entitled to one free load of residential trash at the landfill. No hazardous materials will be accepted.

Proof of residency is required and loads that are not covered and secured are subject to a $10 charge.
