SAFFORD — City of Safford announced Monday that the closure of 8th Avenue, between 26th Street and Discovery Park Boulevard, will be extended to March 9.
The road is closed while work commences on development of Kouts Park at 8th Avenue and Discovery Park Boulevard.
City officials said that after the roadway is reopened, intermittent closures may be put in place when work requires, so motorists should watch for detour signs.
