City of Safford crews responding to water main break

The City of Safford is currently responding to a water main break in the residential area of W. 2nd Street. Crews have been dispatched to the 600 block of W. 2nd Street and are actively working to isolate the leak in order to make necessary repairs.

To complete the repairs, water service will need to be temporarily turned off in the affected area. Approximately 20 customers will be without water for an estimated duration of six hours. The City of Safford apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and is working diligently to restore water service as quickly as possible.

In a press release, city officials asked for the community’s patience as they work to resolve the issue and will continue to provide updates as the situation progresses.
