SAFFORD — The City of Safford is now accepting applications from local charitable and nonprofit organizations for donation funding as part of the FY2026 budget cycle.
This annual program is designed to support organizations that provide meaningful services and programs benefiting Safford residents. Up to $20,000 per organization may be awarded.
To be eligible for funding, organizations must:
- Provide services or programs within the Safford city limits
- Be chartered or incorporated with the Arizona Corporation Commission
- Be recognized as tax-exempt by the IRS
Applications must include:
- Completed FY2026 City of Safford Donation Request Form
- Transmittal letter (mission, community benefit, and funding impact)
- IRS 501(c) determination letter
- Most recent financial report
- Current W-9 form
- List of board members and officers
Organizations that received city funds in the current fiscal year may not need to resubmit certain documents unless updated.

All applications will be reviewed by the Safford City Council. Funding decisions will be made by majority vote.
