SAFFORD — Graham County Chamber of Commerce announced two initiatives this week.
The first is a resumption of the Gila Valley Leadership program, with sign-ups taking place now.
“We do a (day each month) where we investigate, talk about different areas of how the Gila Valley works,” said Chamber Director Vance Bryce. “There’s political, leadership, agriculture, commerce (and mining.”
In addition to touring a number of facilities throughout the Valley and talking with experts in local industries, the program offers an opportunity to network, learning who to contact when a project needs specific assistance.
Attendees are required to attend a minimum of nine of the 10 days in order to complete the program. Cost is $500, with a select number of scholarships available. Applications can be found at Cohort 16 Application – Gila Valley Leadership and are due by July 17.
The other initiative is Limelight, an initiative that seeks to help local business with its marketing plans, via both online and through traditional media outlets.
