SAFFORD — The Graham County Chamber of Commerce is calling for delegates interested in participating in the Gila Valley Leadership Program.

Gila Valley Leadership Cohort 18 (2023-24) is now accepting applications. The program is for current or aspiring leaders looking to enhance networking skills and develop leadership abilities.

The application form can be found at https://GrahamChamber.org/leadership/ and the deadline to apply is Aug. 1, with decisions on acceptance sent out Aug. 9.

Members of Cohort 18 will engage in monthly discussions and case studies aimed at deepening understanding of how the community functions. Participants will explore various aspects, including the local economy, government structures and systems. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to participate in case studies related to commercial, agricultural, educational, governmental, public safety and natural assets within the community.

“This program is designed to give the next level of education to people in our community so they have the tools they need to become the leaders they want to be,” said Vance Bryce, executive director of the Graham County Chamber of Commerce. “The program helps them make connections for support, learn what steps to take and it gives the cohort a deeper understanding of the Gila Valley as a whole.”

This program offers unique experiences to its members, including an opportunity to participate in a trip to the state Capitol.

Those interested in joining Cohort 18 can apply online or visit the Graham County Chamber of Commerce to apply in person.
