Cavani String Quartet performs final arts council concert of the season

The Cavani String Quartet took the stage at the David M. Player Center for the Arts Wednesday night for the final performance of the Gila Valley Arts Council Season. The group visited area schools earlier in the day, gave performances for music students and performed at the Safford Library. During a performance that lasted just over two hours, the group performed the works of Mozart, Ravel and Dvorak for the Wednesday evening concert, winning a standing ovation at the end of the performance.

The Cavani String Quartet is made up of violinists Annie Fullard and Mari Sato, Eric Wong on viola and Si-Yan Darren Li on Cello. The group was formed in 1984 and has performed concerts and been in residence at some of the worlds most prestigious festivals and organizations.
