SAFFORD — Gila Valley Arts Council announced Carion Wind Quintet, from Denmark, will perform at the David M. Player Center for the Arts on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $20, $5 for children.

Those unable to attend Wednesday’s performance can instead head to the Safford Library Tuesday at 1 p.m.

“You’ll have a one-hour show from Carion Wind Quintet free of charge because Friends of the Library pays that tab and then the Library gives us the venue,” said Paulette LeBlanc with the Friends of the Library and the Gila Valley Arts Council. “So it’s a three-way partnership that’s been going on for seven years.”

In addition to the public performances, the Quintet will conduct workshops with the Morenci and EAC music programs, as well as a special performance for children from 12 area schools

The Gila Valley Arts Council’s presentation of the Carion Wind Quintet is sponsored by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties, Creative West, the Arizona Community Foundation of the Gila Valley, City of Safford, Best Western Plus and Eastern Arizona Courier.
