SAFFORD — On its social media Monday, the City of Safford reminded the business community that there is no fee to renew a business license this fiscal year.
The $50 fee was waived by the city in early May in an effort to help businesses struggling through closure orders by Gov. Doug Ducey’s office.
Despite many of those businesses being allowed to re-open, the business license fee waiver will remain in effect through June of 2021; however, all paperwork must be completed by the business’ renewal deadline. Failure to do so will result in a $35 late fee.
