SAFFORD — The organization the provides meals to homebound seniors is conducting a green chili burro fund-raiser.
The burro fund-raiser to benefit SEACUS’ Meals on Wheels program will take place Sept. 7, with the last day to order Sept. 5. Call 928-428-3229 and each burro is $4.
Southeastern Arizona Community Unique Services operates the Meals on Wheels program in both counties; and offers in-home services for seniors, such as housekeeping, shopping, and personal care.
SEACUS also operates the senior centers in Graham and Greenlee counties, where those 55 and older can gather for activities, crafts and congregate breakfasts and lunches.
SEACUS is also accepting ongoing assistance for weekly wellness and craft classes, via JustServe.org. Donors can provide a number of craft items, including tissue paper, pipe cleaners, glue and more. Games and cards are asked for the wellness group.
