SAFFORD — The municipalities across the Gila Valley are coming together to answer questions about building requirements.
A question-and-answer session with building inspectors will take place May 4, at 10 a.m., in the Safford City-Graham County Library programming room.
“We’re trying to make it so that if a contractor builds in any jurisdiction, it’s not night-and-day different from Safford to Thatcher to Pima to the county,” said Jaime Embick, Planning and Community Development director for the City of Safford.
Safford, Thatcher, Pima and Graham County are all in the process of adopting a uniform building code and all are using the same permitting software.
