SAFFORD — In preparation for the 20th Annual Salsa Festival, the intersection of 8th Avenue and Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, through 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27.
Concrete barriers will be placed from each corner of the Graham County Courthouse to the sidewalks along the City Hall Lawn and Kempton’s.
Motorists traveling north or south on 8th Avenue should follow all posted road closure and detour signs. Traffic will be diverted along West Court Street around the Graham County Courthouse.
For everyone’s safety, pedestrians attending the Salsa Festival are strongly encouraged to use the designated enclosed area when crossing 8th Avenue and accessing the festival.
Please use caution in the area, watch for pedestrians, and allow a little extra time when traveling through downtown.
