Brenda Lavina Stone passed away at home in Clifton April 23, 2019. Born in Fort Huachuca Arizona in 1952, she was the oldest child of Dale and Craigie Martell. Brenda graduated from Palo Verde High School in Tucson, Arizona, in 1970. She enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, and traveling. Brenda was a talented hobbyist, including painting, sewing, and many other crafts. She worked in health care, and always enjoyed learning new things.
Brenda was preceded in death by: her parents, Dale and Craigie Martell.
Brenda leaves behind many people who love her so very much. Included are: her boyfriend, Clay Sarriugarte; her children, Brennan (Bernadette) Chronister, Jarod (Laura) Chronister, Casey (Pierre) Hanhart and Shayla (Jeff) Mann; her sisters, Terry Melius, Dona (Steve) Garner and Wendy (Bob) Kunkle; her brother, Glen Martell; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial and celebration of Brenda’s life will be conducted at the Safford Woman’s Club on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Please plan to stay for food and fellowship, in honor of Brenda’s life. Cards and flowers may be sent to the Safford Woman’s Club as early as 8:00 a.m.
