PHOENIX — Greenlee County is projected to have the largest rate of job growth over the next two years.
That’s according to data released by the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity.
Job opportunities in Greenlee County are projected to grow by 1.8 percent, from 6,293 jobs in the second quarter of 2025, to 6,525 jobs by the second quarter of 2027.
Greenlee County has had the state’s lowest unemployment rate for 48-straight months.
The number of jobs in Graham County is projected to grow by 1 percent, from 12,679 jobs in the second quarter of 2025, to 12,944 by the second quarter of 2027.
Pinal County is projected to have the second greatest job growth rate in the state, at 1.2 percent, followed by Graham and Coconino counties both at 1 percent.
By job sector, health care and social assistance is expected to see the greatest number of new jobs, growing 2.6 percent to 522,966 jobs by 2027.
Educational services and information are the two job sectors projected to experience the greatest job loss, dropping 0.7 percent each.
Natural resources and mining is expected to remain virtually flat, growing 0.1 percent to 49,088 jobs by second quarter of 2027.
