PIMA — An auction will take place later this month to benefit two area schools.
The auction will benefit Dan Hinton Accommodation School and Brighter Day Preschool and will take place at the schools in Pima on Oct. 24 at 9 a.m., with a preview starting at 8 a.m.
The auction offers a number of office supplies, tools, computers and even a few vehicles. The auctioneer is Rick Walter and all items must be paid for on the day of the auction.
Both Brighter Day and Dan Hinton schools serve children with special needs. Dan Hinton offers grades K-12, and has an enrollment of about 80 students. It’s one of the top performing special needs schools in the state, exceeding the state average in students achieving both math and reading proficiency. It also is in the top 1 percent in the state for graduation rate of students with special needs.
