The deadline to file your taxes is only a few weeks away and if you haven’t started working on your, you’re not alone. A new report from IPX1031 shows nearly a third of Americans wait until the last minute to file their taxes and Arizona residents are the #12 biggest tax procrastinators in the US.
Highlights from the report include:
- Top Three States: Nevada, Hawaii, Georgia
- Arizona city with most procrastinators: Phoenix
- 32% procrastinate because they don’t think they will get a refund and 25% say the process is too complicated/stressful
- Nearly a quarter will receive a smaller refund this year compared to 2021
The report also shows Millennials are the most likely to procrastinate filing their taxes compared to other generations and half of Americans don’t know the tax deadline falls on a different day this year (April 18th).
