SAFFORD —Another Safford resident has died as a result of COVID-19.
Graham County Health Department announced the death Tuesday evening. The victim was over the age of 65.
That brings Graham County’s total to 12 deaths since the start of the pandemic and it’s the seventh death since July 17.
The Health Department also announced 19 new positive cases, bringing the total to 511, with 367 active and 132 recovered.
The San Carlos Apache Tribe announced eight additional cases Tuesday, making the tribe’s total 536. Of that total, 161 are active, 367 have recovered and there have been eight deaths.
Greenlee County held steady at 57 positive cases through Tuesday, with 21 active, 34 recovered and two deaths.
