Graham County Sheriff’s Office responds to 16 incidents
The Graham County Sheriff’s Office responded to 16 reported incidents between Aug. 20 and the early morning hours of Aug. 21, according to the agency’s daily incident report.
Among the more notable calls was a motorcycle fire early Thursday morning on U.S. 191 near milepost 141. A man was reportedly attempting to extinguish the motorcycle when deputies were notified. The motorcycle was later located, the fire was out and fire personnel were canceled.
Deputies also took a report Thursday morning from a resident who said an ex-partner was using his Social Security number and that he had information needed regarding the matter. The report was classified as a civil incident.
A property-related call was reported Thursday afternoon after a resident asked deputies to have the owner of a cleaning company trespassed from his property. The resident said the woman had entered an old house and barn on the property despite posted signs and had posted photographs of the property on Facebook.
Early Friday morning, deputies conducted a welfare check in Solomon after a resident reported receiving a text from a woman who said she believed someone was stalking her. The caller reported seeing a black car and white truck outside the woman’s residence and asked deputies to make sure she was safe.
Later Friday morning, a resident reported that a .22-caliber Heritage revolver had been stolen from a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 parked along U.S. Highway 70 in the Lone Star area.
Deputies also responded to a report of an unwanted person found inside a locked shed on State Route 366. The property owner said the shed had been locked when the occupants went to bed but the person was found inside the following morning. The report notes the person had a history of mental health issues; no information about weapons was known at the time of the call.
