GRAHAM COUNTY — A resident under the age of 21 found himself the target of a revenge porn scam.
Graham County Sheriff’s deputies were contacted Tuesday by the victim, who said he had met someone “he does not know” online. The victim said he sent explicit photos to the online person, who then began demanding money or the photos would be shared across social media.
The victim said he sent an undisclosed amount through Zelle, but the scammer was demanding more.
The deputy advised the minor the photos will most likely not be shared. The deputy said to cut all contact, block the scammer and stop sending money.
