THATCHER — A community pep rally to celebrate the national champion Eastern Arizona College women’s basketball team will take place Tuesday.
The rally will be held in Guitteau Gymnasium, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Attendees will hear from the players and coaches, and be able to get autographs. There will also be music and free hot dogs.
There is no cost to attend and everyone is encouraged to wear purple and gold.
The Gila Monsters defeated the New Mexico Junior College Dragons, 57-51, in the NJCAA Division 1 Championship March 31 in Lake Charles, La.
