SAFFORD — The driver in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 191 Thursday has died.
The incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m., near Relation Street. First responders found the vehicle on its roof and extracted the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash closed the highway in both directions for about an hour, until one lane was opened to allow for alternating north- and southbound traffic. At about 6 p.m. the roadway was completely re-opened.
Identity of the victim has not been officially released and investigation into the incident is ongoing.
