EAC Theatre presents student-directed comedy ‘My William Shatner Man Crush’

Thatcher, Ariz.— Eastern Arizona College’s Theatre Department will present the comedy My William Shatner Man Crush Dec. 3–6, at 7 p.m., in the SC-3 Blackbox Theater.

The production, which marks the directorial debut of EAC student Spur Udall, has been months in the making. Udall said directing the show has been both a challenge and a rewarding creative experience.

“I have been so honored with having this show and this spectacular cast as a first-time director,” said Udall. “We have put so much work, love, and collaboration into M.W.S.M.C. Everyday was an absolute giggle fest, while also learning to grow better and stronger as a cast. You and your friends should absolutely come down to see the show if you want a good laugh, and a good heartfelt moment!”

My William Shatner Man Crush is a quirky, heartfelt comedy that follows a young man whose admiration for actor William Shatner borders on obsession. As he navigates relationships, career aspirations, and questions of identity, his fixation on the famous “Star Trek” captain forces him to confront what it really means to find confidence and purpose. Through humor and reflection, the play celebrates fandom, imagination, and the courage to be yourself.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased by visiting www.eac.edu.

Performances will be held at the SC-3 Blackbox Theater, on the Eastern Arizona College campus, 335 N. College Ave., Thatcher, Arizona.
