Deputies responded to a call regarding a man who shot an aggressive dog in his yard. The said that he and his wife came home to find the dog in their front yard. The man said that the dog charged him and bit him as soon as he got out of his car. He said he shot the dog four times. The dog had apparently been aggressive in the past.
A neighbor told the deputy that she saw the man shoot the dog. She claimed that the dog was not being aggressive and that the man went into his residence to retrieve his gun before shooting the dog. When he came back out, she said she heard gunshots. She told authorities she thought the dog belonged to another neighbor.
When the deputy talked to that neighbor, he denied owning the dog and said he has also had problems with the dog being aggressive.
The deputy documented the incident and left. The shooter said that he would bury the dog.
