PERIDOT — The Maverick fire, just south of Peridot on the San Carlos Apache Reservation, is now at 750 acres with 0-percent containment.
The fire was discovered Monday, June 30, at about 4:15 p.m. Cause has not yet been determined.
The fire is located south of Indian Road 3, about midway between San Carlos Lake and Mount Turnbull.
There is no word yet on resources assigned to the blaze.
