SAFFORD — Officials at Safford Regional Airport-1Lt Duane Spalsbury Field are asking for the public’s input on the commercial service between Safford and Phoenix.

The airport is running an online survey, asking past and future customers what days of the week do they typically travel, whether they travel for business or pleasure, and are the scheduled flight times convenient.

Commercial service between Safford and Phoenix on Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines debuted in January, and enplanements doubled from January to February.

Commercial service is possible thanks to an $800,000 Small Community Air Service Development Program grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation.
