CLIFTON — Work started Monday on improving 13 miles of pavement on U.S. Highway 191 in Greenlee County.
The Table Top Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project spans from milepost 160 south of Clifton to MP 173 north of Morenci.
Crews are applying a micro-surface over the existing asphalt, replacing pavement markings and make spot repairs as needed.
The work will necessitate some lane closures and, where the roadway is two lanes, flaggers will be in place to direct alternating traffic.
Motorists are advised to play for delays and add extra time to travel.
The work is projected to be complete by this summer.
