Graham County Fair Parade winners

SAFFORD — The judges’ choices in this year’s Graham County Fair Parade have been announced.

The theme this year was “Pumpkins, pies and autumn skies.” Each category win comes with a monetary prize.

The winners are:

Best of Show — San Carlos Apache Tribe-Council & Administration ($300)

San Carlos Apache Tribal Chairman Terry Rambler sits atop the tribe’s entry in the Graham County Fair Parade. The tribal council float was named Best of Show.

Marching Unit — Gila Cheer ($100)

A pair of tumblers lead the way for the Gila Valley All-Star Cheer parade entry. The cheer group was named best marching unit.

Motor Vehicle — Graham County School Superintendent ($100)

Graham County School Superintendent Donna McGaughey’s entry in the parade earned her the best motor vehicle prize.

Non-school float — Miss Mt. Turnbull Royalty ($250)

Kirah Da’ti’ye Moses, the 2024 Miss Mt. Turnbull, won for the best non-school float.

Mounted Riding Group — Sons of Confederate Veterans ($100)

Graham County School Prizes:

Senior Class Float — Arizona Arts Academy ($500)

The Safford Arts Academy won for best senior float in this year’s Fair Parade.

Junior Class Float — Arizona Arts Academy ($400)

The Gila Valley Arts Academy juniors took home a second prize from the Fair Parade.

Elementary School Float — Triumphant Learning Center ($200)

Triumphant Learning Center earned the best elementary school float honor from the parade judges.
