DID YOU KNOW?
Some medications can make you more likely to get sick from the heat.
Knowing that certain medications can impact your body’s ability to handle heat is crucial. These include drugs affecting mood or behavior, those for Parkinson’s disease, tranquilizers, and diuretics (or “water pills”). Discuss with your doctor how your medications might affect your ability to tolerate hot weather.

Be SunWise
- Limit sun exposure with sunglasses, hats, and lightweight clothing
- Use SPF 30+ sunscreen to protect your skin from UV rays
