SAFFORD — The Graham County Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting Saturday was to celebrate five-years of success by Get A Grip.

However, the event took on new meaning when co-owner Sarah Bingham used the opportunity to unveil the Safford Downtown’s newest amenity, the 803 Meeting Room.

“Really, we’re hoping to let people see what a cute area we have, and bring a little bit more awareness about this space,” she said.

The 803 Meeting Room is located in the front of the Get A Grip building, at 803 W. Thatcher Blvd., and is available for rent for small events, meetings, wedding and baby showers, birthday parties and other events.

To show what the space can offer, Bingham invited Aridus Wine to offer free tastings during the ribbon-cutting and open house, as well as Burnt Ridge soap display and sales.

Bingham said she was especially happy with Airdus joining in, to show how regional cooperation can work to the benefit of everyone.

Rental of the 803 Meeting Room is $80 per hour Monday through Thursday, or $300 for four hours or $560 for eight or more hours.

On the weekend, the cost is $100 per hour, $380 for up to four hours or $720 for eight or more hours.
