39% of Gen Z & Millennials Have Therapy as a New Year’s Resolution: Report

With 2024 just around the corner, many are making resolutions committing to wellness in the new year, and mental health is no exception. 

A new report shedding light on Gen Z and Millennial mental health in 2024 found that 93% hope to improve their mental health in the new year.

  • 39% are planning to go to therapy in 2024
  • Top issues to address: Anxiety, Depression, Stress
  • 49% struggle to find a therapist; 64% choose based on style of therapy

Of the 1 in 5 Gen Z and Millennials currently in therapy, 26% are planning to stay in therapy forever. It comes at a cost, however: 1 in 3 have sacrificed other expenses to afford therapy, and cost remains the #1 barrier for those seeking therapy.
