2018 Fourth of July Celebration

The Safford Lion’s Club and the City of Safford are proud to announce the 2018 4th of July Parade will be coming to Safford, Wednesday, July 4th.

There will be a Flag ceremony beginning at 9:45am, on July 4th, with the American Legion and the Thatcher Fire Department raising the flag. The National Anthem will be presented by Lt. Murphy from the Department of Corrections. At 10:00am, the Arizona Department of Corrections Honor Guard will lead the 4th of July Parade and participants will line up behind the Graham County Court House and head East onto Main Street.

Participants in the 4th of July Parade will be asked to pre-register at the Graham County Court House between 8:00am and 9:15am.

Awards will be given out to: the Most Patriotic, the Most Beautiful, the Most Creative, Best Performance, and Best Decorated Bike. The bicycle competition is open to all ages.

Vendors must pay a $25.00 registration fee and set up between 7:30am and 8:30am.  Food vendors must have a Food Permit from the Graham County Health Department before the parade. Vendors must obtain a vendor’s license by contacting the City of Safford at their Annex Hall, located at 808 South 8th Avenue. The deadline is Monday, July 2nd.  For further information, contact Pam Frost at the City of Safford
