SAFFORD — The Gila Valley has the chance to participate in two toy drives this weekend.
LifeLine Ambulance will hold a Toys for Tots Fill the Ambulance toy drive outside Walmart on Saturday.
“A few years ago, I went to put a gift in the Toys for Tots box that they have around, and noticed it was empty. I thought, there’s a lot of kids out there that are needy, and I just don’t see it happening. So I thought, what can I do? What can we do to help out?” said LifeLine’s Pete Guana.
New, unwrapped toys will be accepted at the ambulance Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
FFF Clubhouse will do its part with a motorcycle Toy Run this Saturday. Participation costs $10 and a new, unwrapped toy.
Riders will meet at Tractor Supply at 9 a.m. to collect the toys, and the ride starts at 11 a.m.
