THATCHER — On Monday, Double R Communications owner Reed Richins rolled out three holiday favorites.
For the fifth year in a row, the Double R Communications/Keyhole Properties Secret Santa will take place.
Operation Secret Santa helps 12 families or individuals who may be struggling this holiday season, with a number of local businesses donating items and services, including:
- Gila Valley Disc Golf is giving away two packages worth $500 each of diapers, wipes and formula
- Advanced Air Systems is giving away and will install a new heating system for one family (recipient must reside in the Gila Valley)
- Haralson Tire Pros & Auto Service is providing a set of four tires to one family
- Gila Valley Mortgage will provide Christmas for one family
- Valley Furniture and Appliance will provide a refrigerator to one family
- Carter’s Custom Cuts is providing a meat box to two families
- Country Financial and Keyhole Properties are teaming to pay a month’s utilities for one family
- Boulevard Glass will provide up to $2,500 worth of window replacements
- Graham County Electric Cooperative will help two families pay their utility bills, up to $250 each
Nominations of families in need will be accepted until Dec. 17. Click here to nominate those who could use a little help this holiday season.

Also returning this year is the Double R Communications-Country Financial-Ice King Light Up The Gila Valley Holiday Light Map.
Residents anywhere in Graham County may register their home or their neighborhood to be included on the map, giving residents an opportunity to drive by and marvel at lighted and decorated homes.
Homes listed on the map have a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card.

The map on Gila Valley Central will be updated as registrations are submitted.
Finally, the Double R Communications family of radio stations — Kat Kountry 94.5 FM, Sunny 102.3 FM and KATO 1230 AM — along with Valley Vision and Gila Valley Central are bringing back the 12 Days of Christmas.
