11 new COVID-19 cases in Graham County

SAFFORD —The Graham County Health Department announced 11 more residents tested positive for COVID-19 Monday, bringing the county’s total to 218.

To slow the spread, Health Department Director Brian Douglas said on Voice of the Valley, “Wear masks when you’re in the public, social distance and just be aware of your surroundings. If you can stay home, stay home.”

Fifty-one of the cases have recovered, 163 are active and there have been four deaths.

The San Carlos Apache Tribe announced four new cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of tribal members testing positive to 240 — 216 on the reservation and 24 off.

Ninety-one of the cases are active, 143 have recovered and there have been six deaths.

Greenlee County is holding at 33 positive cases, with 20 active, 12 recovered and one death.
