THATCHER — Young entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to show off their business ideas with the hopes of taking home a little cash.

The Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College will present the third annual Youth Entrepreneur Success competition for high school-aged residents of Graham and Greenlee counties on June 8-11, from 10 a.m. to 1 pm. each day.

“They’ll learn about business basics and, at the end, every participant will create content, like a commercial for an idea that they may have now or they may get at the event,” said Joel Robinson, director of the SBDC at EAC.

In addition to learning business practices, the teens will learn how to present in front of large groups and work in teams.

Presentations can be for an existing side-hustle, a business the teen would like to start in the future or something fanciful. The judges’ selection of the best pitch will receive $1,000, courtesy of the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties.

There is no cost to participate. Click here to register.
