SAFFORD — The Bureau of Land Management Safford Field Office announced that is starting this week on improvements to the Hot Well Dunes Recreation Area.
Work includes upgraded camp areas, construction of a campground host site, relocation of the hot tubs and upgraded roadways and walkways.
The work is expected to take about a year to complete.
Hot Well Dunes will remain open, but there may be limited to access to select amenities during construction, such as vault toilets and trash receptacles.
Signs will be posted alerting visitors to work areas.
