Winners named in Cinco de Mayo Parade

SAFFORD — The judges reviewed all the entries and picked the top three in the 2026 Cinco de Mayo Parade, sponsored by St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Gila All-Star Cheer was selected as Most Entertaining, the St. Rose of Lima Youth Group was named Most Creative, and Best Decorated went to St. Rose of Lima Catholic School.

Each winner receives $100. Judges were Kathy Grimes, Kristin Grimes and Barbara Gojkovich.

The parade, down Safford’s Main Street on Saturday, was followed by the annual Fiesta on the church’s grounds, and a dance in the evening in the fellowship hall.

The St. Rose of Lima Catholic School entry in this year’s Cinco de Mayo Parade was named Best Decorated.
