WILLCOX — The Willcox Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is getting in the salsa game.

The inaugural Willcox Hispanic Heritage Festival and Salsa Competition will take place Saturday, Sept. 13, in Railroad Park.

“This festival is about honoring roots, celebrating community, and coming together in true Cochise County spirit,” the Chamber posted to social media.

The salsa competition is open to local restaurants only, and each must provide at least one gallon for tastings. The entry fee is $50, which goes into the jackpot for the winner, along with a trophy.

The Hispanic Heritage Festival will feature live bands, a beer garden, food trucks and vendors, plus a kids jump house.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and entry is free.

National Hispanic Heritage Month runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.
