SAFFORD — Following on the success of the Marge Schade House of Hope Sober Living Facility for men, the Graham County Substance Abuse Coalition announced plans to develop a sober living facility for women.

To help raise funds, the Wheels for Wings House of Hope Overdose Awareness car show event will take place Saturday, July 22, starting at 8 a.m., in the Ashley’s Furniture parking lot.

“We’re doing all categories, all classes, all vehicles, but we are not separating them, like into low rider categories or any of that,” said organizer Jason Benevides. “We’re going to do the top 20 vehicles out of all cars.”

Awards will be presented at 4 p.m., as well as the Kid’s Choice awards.

In addition to the car show, there will be bounce houses for children, vendors, food trucks and music.

Wheels for Wings is sponsored by Graham County Substance Abuse Coalition, Recovery Angels, the Marge Schade House of Hope Sober Living Facility, United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties, Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center, Buena Vista Health and Recovery Centers, Beacon Treatment Center, America’s Rehab Campuses, Oxford House, Walk for Hope, and Familia Safford.
