Watershed restoration work take place on Mount Graham this week

GRAHAM COUNTY — Safford Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest is asking for the public’s help while work is taking place on Mount Graham.

The Forest Service is asking the public avoid the area of Columbine Corrals this week, while crews use the campground as a basecamp during watershed restoration work.

Crews will be building erosion abatement structures, and tThe work will take place through Friday, June 20.

Forest Service officials recommend Cunningham Campground as an alternative for those who require horse corrals.
