SAFFORD — The City of Safford’s Water Division announced work planned for the area of 20th Avenue and 16th Street will impact the southern entrance to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center for a few days in December.

The work will take place Dec. 1-4, and is part of the hospital’s construction of a new pharmacy building, near the hospital’s main entrance off 20th Avenue, as well as upgrades to the water system in that area.

The hospital will be accessible from Relation Street during the construction.

Motorists are advised to drive cautiously through the work zone and use an alternate route when possible.
